  • I am located in Richlands, NC but I serve all of NC, VA, DC, SC and FL virtually.

  • Easy! I send you a link (it’s the same every time) and you can join from your phone/computer anywhere you wish.  I often meet people in their bed, car, office, etc.

  • Not at this time.

  • $200/hour session.  EMDR Intensives are $240/hour.

  • This is an estimate of yearly what you can expect to pay for therapy.

  • We are getting to know each other, discussing your symptoms, areas where you want to feel better or different.  We will also begin outlining goals.  I want to make sure if you have any lingering questions about therapy that you have time to ask those too.

  • This is specific to each person.  Ideally, I’d like to start out meeting weekly with you in order to establish therapeutic rapport and momentum towards your goals.  Then, we work within your goals and what you want to address in therapy.  You can expect at least a few months or more.

  • Just email, text, or call me to schedule.  Initially we will identify your weekly appointment for a certain day and time and that’s your slot so we’re not spending a lot of time scheduling at the end of each session.  We’ll have more time to focus on you!

  • I do my very best to respond to email/text ASAP, but typically within 24 hours.  Over the weekend though you may not hear back until Monday.

  • I ask that you give 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appt.  Since we have identified a day/time that is your time each week you’re making a commitment to be there.  If the 48 hours notice is not given then the full session fee of $200 will be due.  If I can get you rescheduled in the same week then I’ll waive the fee.  So, if you’re sick or your child is sick, and you can’t give 48 hours notice, then if I have availability for the same week I’ll waive the fee.

  • Absolutely!  Anything you say in therapy is confidential, meaning that I won’t share it with anyone else.  The exceptions to this include if I am court ordered by a judge, if there is a medical emergency and I need to call 911 to get you help, if I suspect child/elder abuse/neglect, or if you tell me you are going to kill yourself I will need to get you help.  If, for example, someone calls to talk to me regarding you and there is not a consent on file that you have signed then I will not confirm or deny if I know you.  I take confidentiality very seriously.  The virtual platform I use (doxy.me) has strict confidentiality measures in place as well.

  • There are many reasons for me being out of network with all insurances and they are as follows:

    1.  Insurance can ask for session notes.

    2. Insurance can decide if you warrant therapy.

    3. There is a risk of clawbacks where the insurance company will take money back from me for work I have already done.

    4. It can take months to be reimbursed.

    5. The reimbursement rates are not sustainable.

    6. I don’t want to pathologize clients so insurance will cover (diagnoses, etc.).
